File
Polar Rock Repository Birthday (1).pdf128.21 KB
The Polar Rock Repository (PRR) is a national facility located adjacent to the Byrd Center. The repository houses over 50,000 rock and unconsolidated samples from Antarctica, South America, and Africa. In addition to the rock collection, the repository database includes field notes, photos, maps, cores, thin sections, and related materials.
Enjoy cake and coffee, explore samples from the 50,000+ piece collection, and learn what's inside a "rock box" as we celebrate 15 years of research at the Polar Rock Repository! To learn more about the Polar Rock Repository, visit their website.
