Rylin is a fourth-year biology student, her interests are in marine microbiology and the biological impacts on climate change. Rylin’s research focuses on if and how microorganisms in glaciers can survive and remain active in polar oceans. Her project is funded by the Sustainability Institute Student Sustainability grant and the College of Arts and Sciences Undergraduate Research Scholarship.
