Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. March 7, 2023
7:15 am - 11:45 am
Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center

The upcoming EPN breakfast, "Changing Rivers: enhancing the natural and social well being of Ohio alongside more floods and warmer temperatures", will explore the specific issues of stormwater management and regional extreme rainfall events and connect these changes to empirical research on the biotic diversity in Ohio's streams and rivers, as well as the socioeconomic health of human communities.

This session will explore the emerging field of “ecohydroclimatology,” which utilizes atmospheric science to assess both temperature and precipitation changes, greenhouse gas effects, human-created landscape changes, including the building of impervious surfaces, and their interactions with the movement of water and aquatic biological conditions.

Speakers include ODNR's Floodplain Management Program Coordinator Alicia Silverio, State Climatologist Aaron Wilson, Midwest Biodiversity Institute research director Chris Yoder, and many more.
