Public health professionals are among the most trusted members of our society. What obligations do they have to talk about the impact that climate change is having on our health and wellbeing? How best can they communicate the threat to the communities they serve?
This third and final “Front Porch Chat” of the semester will explore the roles and responsibilities of health care practitioners in the fight against climate change. This virtual event will be a casual conversation between Ohio State faculty member Claire Bollinger (College of Medicine) and our guest Bruce Bekkar, a women’s health physician who travels extensively to mobilize the medical professional to speak out about the health impacts of climate change. Please join us online for this “chat” about public health and the global threat posed by climate change.
