Save the date for an in-person GIS Day program on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 in the Research CommonsGIS Day is an annual event for students, staff, faculty, and the broader community to learn more about geographic information systems (GIS) and to celebrate the power of geospatial data, methods, and technologies for answering research questions and solving real-world problems.

Call for Presentations
Lightning talk presentations should be 8-10 minutes long and will be organized into multiple sessions throughout the day. We encourage submissions from any discipline and about topics that use geospatial information in any format, including but not limited to: geography, earth sciences, city and regional planning, agriculture and environmental science, engineering, business, public health, digital humanities, GIS for access and opportunity, and GIS education. We especially encourage student presentations, but submissions from any Ohio State affiliate are welcome.
