Join the Bexley Public Library for an enlightening conversation with  Byrd center Principal Investigator, Dr. Kelsea Best, Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University’s School of Civil, Environmental and Geodetic Engineering and the Knowlton School of Architecture. Dr. Best will discuss her new book, Migration and Displacement in a Changing Climate, which explores how climate change is reshaping global migration patterns and impacting coastal communities.

This event will delve into Dr. Best’s research on climate-related migration, infrastructure needs in receiving communities, the vulnerabilities of renters facing natural disasters, and the implications of climate gentrification. Her work emphasizes equitable and just approaches to climate adaptation.
