Antarctica conains 90% of the world's ice, but a small percentage of the continent has no ice at all. These polar deserts have little precipitation, freezing temperatures, and salty soils and lakes, yet organisms still survive. Join Melisa Diaz to learn how we study the chemistry of these areas to understand how organisms have survived there for millions of years.
