Gustavo Valdivia Corrales has a M.A. in Climate and Society from Columbia University and is the recipient of the 2022 Polar Archives Research Award. The seminar will be about the John R. Mercer papers and their role in answering questions about the Quelccaya Ice Cap. These thematic questions include field expedition logistics, geopolitical considerations, and power, knowledge, and cultural rules. This hybrid event will take place in the Learning Center (Scott Hall 177) at 1090 Carmack Rd. No registration is required for in-person attendees. Those who are interested in attending online should register below.
