Are you an undergraduate student looking to get involved in faculty-mentored research? Attend UR&CI’s “Getting Started in Research” Workshop. This hour-long session will cover the 3 Steps to Get Started and walk students through the process of finding and emailing faculty whose research interests align with theirs. Students should bring their laptop or iPad. This will be an in-person workshop open to students of all majors.

Are you presenting at the Denman Undergraduate Research forum? Are you preparing a research poster for a class or final presentation? Join this workshop on February 13 to learn the tips and tricks to setting up your research poster. You will learn how to design your poster so it conveys best your research process and and aims.
When: February 26, 2025 | 5:30 - 6:30 pm

This in-person small group session is intended for students who wish to get practice and receive encouraging peer feedback before presenting at the 2025 Denman Undergraduate Research Forum. This is not a formal workshop, but students are welcome to ask for suggestions and tips to refine their verbal presentation.

You’ve been accepted to present at the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum—now what?! Join the Writing Center for a workshop on preparing your poster or verbal presentation. In this workshop, we’ll review key strategies for compiling oral and visual presentations of your research, and you’ll leave this workshop with a plan to help you develop your presentation.

The Denman Undergraduate Research Forum provides an opportunity for graduating student researchers to share their research endeavors with the university community. The Denman Forum is UR&CI’s only competitive poster forum in which winners are recognized in each category as determined by faculty, staff, and Denman alumni reviewers. Students will be reviewed on their ability to communicate effectively their research process and results through written poster content and accompanying oral presentation. During the Denman Forum, we celebrate not only the hard work of these students but also the dedication of their faculty research mentors.

The Undergraduate Research Festival is a presentation opportunity for all students engaging in undergraduate research who wish to share their work. Applications to present will open in March 2025. The audience is open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members.
