Byrd Polar and Climate Research Table

Glaciers are an important tool for research and a big part of Ohio's history. Come explore glaciers by playing with flubber, touch an ice core and learn about how glaciers help us understand past climates, and experience the impact of glaciers on Ohio's topography through a virtual reality tour of Kelleys Island. Coloring pages and activity packets will also be provided to learn more about past and present research at the Byrd Center.
Located at Columbus' Ohio History Center, the Byrd Center will be participating in Wild Ohio Weekend, on Saturday, February 5th from 10 AM - 2 PM. The full event will take place Saturday, February 5th and Sunday, February 6th from 10 AM - 5 PM. Join us and the other participating organizations to learn more about Ohio's natural history.
