Congratulations to Professor W. Berry Lyons, Distinguished University Scholar in the School of Earth Sciences and former Byrd Center Director, who was honored with the Goldthwait Polar Medal on April 24, 2025. After receiving the award, Berry spoke to a gathering of colleagues, friends, students, and family, sharing highlights of his time at the Byrd Center and his distinguished career in polar science.
