Undergraduate Grace Davis Awarded Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program Position
Grace Davis, a third-year microbiology student was recently selected for the Ohio State's Summer Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program, which will support her project, “Microbial Signatures of Glacial Till: Linking Microbial Communities to Sediment Origin in Ohio.” This summer, she'll investigate whether microbial communities, which are preserved in glacial sediments, can be used to trace the origin and age of ice sheet deposits across Ohio. More accurate reconstructions of past glacial environments can help improve predictions of how ice sheets may respond to future climate change.
