The tour lasts approximately 90 minutes and covers the history, science, and facilities of the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center.
Each tour lasts approximately one and a half hours and includes:
- Presentation on the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center.
- Description of the research conducted and brief history of the Center as an OSU institution.
- Tour of the facility, including a look at field equipment, the ice core freezer, and polar rock repository.
You will enter Scott Hall through Door #2 or Door #4 (each door is labeled overhead).
The Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center is located at 1090 Carmack Road, Columbus, OH 43210 but GPS systems work better if you type in the neighboring building, 1070 Carmack Road.
