As one of its “10 Big Ideas,” the National Science Foundation has put forward funding to catalyze a new generation of Arctic interdisciplinary research and education. Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center, in partnership with the Office of Research Proposal Development Office and the Sustainability Institute, are offering an interactive information and ideas session for faculty and research staff interested in pursuing funding through the Navigating the New Arctic (NNA) program. The event will feature a moderated Q&A panel of Ohio State faculty and staff with various perspectives on the NNA program, as well as a facilitated breakout session to promote cross-disciplinary conversations ahead of the next call for proposals, anticipated in spring 2020. Note that this call invites research from diverse disciplines and from researchers with no prior experience in the Arctic.   The panel discussion will also be streamed and recorded through Zoom.
