The Byrd Center will host an exciting seminar for researchers and educators across various disciplines interested in capturing 3D scans of objects and surfaces using low-cost, accessible technology. Traditionally, 3D scanning methods like LIDAR, photogrammetry, and structure from motion required special equipment and workflows. However, a new generation of tools now simplifies the process, eliminating the need for dedicated equipment and specialized teams.
