Aaron Wilson Appointed as Next State Climatologist of Ohio

Congratulations Aaron! In addition to his new role as State Climatologist, he holds a joint appointment as a principal investigator at the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center (BPCRC) and assistant professor Ag Weather in OSU Extension-the outreach arm of the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences. Aaron succeeds Dr. Bryan Mark (State Climatologist from 2015-2022), a professor in the Department of Geography and a principal investigator at the Byrd Center.
Aaron plans to continue to strengthen campus partnerships, including those with Extension - CFAES, Geography - Arts and Sciences, the Byrd Center and others to carry out the State Climate Office of Ohio's (SCOO's) four-fold mission of Communication, Information Services, Education & Outreach, and Research, all to enhance the quality of life, health, food and water security, and economic prosperity of all Ohioans.
