Humayun Ashraf is a Visiting Research Scholar at the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center, The Ohio State University, funded by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan through the International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP).. He is a Lecturer in Geography at the University of Gujrat, with over 10 years of experience in GIS, remote sensing, and urban growth analysis. His research focuses on land use/land cover change, geospatial modeling, and environmental planning. At the Byrd Center, he collaborates with Professor Bryan G. Mark on studies of environmental and geospatial change.
Previously, he served as a GIS Analyst/Manager at The Urban Unit, contributing to major World Bank and ADB–funded development projects. He is currently pursuing a PhD on the urbanization and morphological evolution of Sargodha City.
