Assistant Professor Demián Gómez from The Ohio State University's School of Earth Sciences has been honored with the 2024-2025 Early-Career Faculty Excellence Award by the College of Arts and Sciences. This prestigious award acknowledges his exceptional research, teaching, and service performance. Professor Gómez conducts innovative research on reference frame realizations on regional and global scales as both a geophysicist and a geometrical geodesist. His work also investigates critical geodynamic processes, including the earthquake cycle and the periodic loading and unloading of the Earth's crust.
