- Collected: summer 1991, RV Akademik Karpinski, SW Kara Sea off Novaya Zemlya, 72 mwd, modern mud.
- Rose Bengal stained
Inhabits high-energy, full-saline arctic environments at ~20-200 mwd; commonly found attached. Juvenile specimens not observed; we suspect this form could be overgrown Elphidium subarcticum.
