Fazlul got his PhD in Geography from the University of Peshawar Pakistan in 2016 with a research focus on environmental changes in the Hindukush-Himalayan mountains of Pakistan. He in on sabbatical from his position as Assistant Professor of Geography in GC University Faisalabad, Pakistan. He was recently awarded the Byrd Postdoctoral Scholarship, 2021-22 and he joined the Glacier Environmental Change Group as he is interested to study glacial and hydrological dynamics of the Hindukush-Himalayan region of Pakistan.
