Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Suzanne Hodgkins is a postdoctoral researcher in Virginia Rich's lab at OSU's Department of Microbiology. Her research interests include the interactions between climate, microbiology, organic matter chemistry, and methane emissions in northern peatlands from local to global scales. She received her PhD at Florida State University's Department of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Science, where she worked with Jeffrey Chanton to examine organic matter chemistry and methane emissions from thawing Arctic permafrost peatlands. Coming from a biogeochemistry background, Suzanne is now expanding her focus to include bioinformatics and interdisciplinary data management using large-scale graph databases.
