Dr. Md Rejaur Rahman is a Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. He earned his Ph.D. in Information Engineering of Resources and Environment from the College of Resources and Environment, Huazhong Agricultural University, Wuhan, China, with a research focus on land use/land cover dynamics and soil erosion hazard and risk evaluation using geoinformatics. He also served as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), where his research focused on regional climate change analysis and simulation using statistical and GIS techniques. Currently, he is on sabbatical leave from his home institution and is a Fulbright Visiting Research Fellow at the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center, Ohio State University. His ongoing research focuses on Coastal Vulnerability Modeling to Sea Level Rise and Climate Change Exposure: A Deep Learning and Multi-Satellite Observation-Based Framework to Enhance Bangladesh’s Coastal Sustainability. Professor Bryan G. Mark is his research collaborator at the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center.
