Climate Chronicles: An Interactive Exhibit
The Climate Chronicles will be an interactive exhibit where students will be exposed to the research of the Byrd Polar Climate Research Center – a world-renowned research center on campus, which houses rare tropical ice cores that date the climate record. There will be guided exhibits, with activities like “Ice Core Science,” where students can analyze physical ice cores to understand how climate timelines are created. There will also be solo exhibits where students can do projects to take home with them. There will be opportunities for students to learn how they can get more involved with the Byrd Polar Climate Research Center, and even add a climate certification to their degree.
