The Ohio State University's School of Earth Sciences presents the 78th Bownocker technical lecture featuring Professor Lindy Elkins-Tanton.

“Psyche” is both the name of an asteroid in the main belt, orbiting out past Mars, and the name of the NASA mission to visit that asteroid.

Lindy Elkins-Tanton, Vice President and Professor, School of Earth and Space Exploration at Arizona State University and principal investigator, discusses how a NASA mission comes to be, who works on the team, and the process of preparing to launch in 2023.
