WFR Refresher/Wilderness First Aid

Wilderness First Responder Training
March 1 - March 3, 2019
12:00 am - 12:00 am
The Ohio State University Outdoor Adventure Center | 855 Woody Hayes Dr.

The Wilderness First Aid (WFA) class acts as an introduction to backcountry medicine and techniques, and may be considered a primer to future studies in wilderness medicine such as Wilderness First Responder (WFR). The WFA course is designed to train and certify people to cope with basic wilderness hazards and medical emergencies and is ideal for the outdoor enthusiast who wants a more wilderness specific approach to first aid. The focus of learning will be on recognizing wilderness emergencies and providing basic care until more advanced help arrives. Successfully completing the course provides certification from SOLO, the world's oldest continually operating wilderness medicine school.

Visit the Outdoor Adventure Center for program details and to register.
