Annalise Khandelwal Joins The Water and Climate Collective
We are delighted to introduce Annalise Khandelwal as the Water and Climate Collective's Student Engagement Coordinator.
The Water and Climate Collective is a student-led collaboration between the Byrd Center and the Global Water Institute for all students at The Ohio State University interested in engaging and sharing ideas about issues concerning water and climate.
Annalise is pursuing a major in Environmental Science with a minor in Neuroscience. Over the summer, she participated in a National Science Foundation (NSF) funded Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) at Oregon State University, working at the Sullivan Hydrology lab. She also conducted field research alongside hydrologists and geoscientists in Central Oregon and the Central Sierra Nevada region of Northern California. She was inspired to continue work in water related fields and found that activism and science communication through the Water and Climate Collective would be a great way to get other students involved and interested in water and climate science.
As part of the Ohio State Undergraduate Student Government, Annalise serves as the deputy director of climate advocacy, hosting events that bridge the gap between students and ongoing climate research. She successfully hosted the Canary documentary screening at the Wexner Center for the Arts on October 2, 2023.
If you are an Ohio State student interested in water and climate issues across the university and beyond, consider joining the Water and Climate Collective.
