Rocks from the Summit of Vinson Massif

Rocks from the Summit of Vinson Massif

One of our rocks is from the summit of Vinson Massif- the highest point in Antarctica at 16,050ft (4,892m) in elevation. This rock was collected during the first ever ascent of this peak by Bill Long in 1966. Today, Mount Vinson is a popular mountaineering challenge as one of the renowned "Seven Summits."
