Congratulations to Tal Shutkin for successfully defending his master's thesis entitled, "Multi-Temporal Glacier-Climate Interactions in Peru’s Queshque Valley (~10S): Modeling Contemporary Glacier Change and Interpreting Geomorphic Evidence of the Holocene Climate History." Tal's committee included Professors Ellen Mosley-Thompson, Zhengyu Liu, and Bryan Mark as advisor. Tal will now head to the Peruvian Andes to complete some COVID-delayed field work (beginning next week). Then, after a one semester deferral, he intends to join the Byrd Center for his PhD.
