Congratulations Emilio!

Emilio Mateo

Emilio Mateo successfully defended his PhD dissertation. The title of Emilio’s dissertation was, “Hydrological shifts and the role of debris-covered glaciers in the Cordillera Blanca, Peru.” His committee members include Michael Durand (School of Earth Sciences), Robert Hellstrӧm (Bridgewater State University, Geography),  Alvaro Montenegro (Department of Geography) and Bryan Mark (School of Earth Sciences), as his advisor. Andrew Londo, Professor of Silviculture and State Extension Forestry Specialist in the College of Food, Agriculture, and Environmental Sciences served as the Graduate Faculty Representative.

Emilio will now be joining the Aspen Global Change Institute in Colorado as their Climate Science Fellow.
